Monday, May 9th - The TEN ATL jam session in East Atlanta happens every Monday evening. The music goes from 9 until midnight and features a host of great jazz musicians in Atlanta. 495 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta
Tuesday, May 10th - The great young saxophonist Hani’el Matriani-Levi will perform at Jazz On The Plaza, a new concert series presented by the Midtown Alliance. The show takes place at the corner of 15th St. and Peachtree St. NE. 5-7PM.
Wednesday, May 11th - The Venkman’s Jazz Jam with Joe Gransden happens every Wednesday. All musicians are welcome to sit in. 740 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE.
Also on Wednesday, the Red Light Cafe jam session led by the great trumpeter and educator Gordon Vernick will take place. 9 to midnight. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave NE, Atlanta.
Thursday, May 12th- The dynamic pianist Tyrone Jackson will perform at Ray’s On The River. 6:30 to 9:30PM. 6700 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30339
Friday, May 13th - Bassist and vocalist Lauren Seay performs with her trio every Friday and Saturday on the patio of Joy Cafe in Midtown from 6-9PM. 1100 Peachtree St NE Exhibit A, Atlanta, GA 30309
Saturday, May 14th - Saxophonist Will Scruggs will perform with Rich Rowlinson and Rob Henson from 6:30 to 9:30PM at Ray’s On The River. 6700 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30339
Sunday, May 15th - In the afternoon, the pianist Emmanuel Chops Smith hosts the Brunch and Jazz Jam at Southern Feedstore beginning at 1PM. 1245 Glenwood Ave. SE. Atlanta. This is a great place to hear a group of amazing Atlanta-based musicians.
