Wednesday, August 17th - World-renowned bassist Marcus Miller will perform at St. James Live today and tomorrow. Sets start at 7PM and 9PM and feature VIP and non-VIP options. Be sure to reserve your tickets in advance. https://www.stjamesliveatl.com/ 3220 Butner Rd. Suite 240.
Also on Wednesday Gordon Vernick’s Quartet at the Red Light Cafe will perform before opening up the stage to a wide-range of jazz performers for the weekly jam session. The show begins at 8PM. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave NE, Atlanta.
Also on Wednesday, The Venkman’s Jazz Jam with Joe Gransden happens every Wednesday. All musicians are welcome to sit in. 7PM to 9PM. 740 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE.
Thursday, August 18th - The guitarist Rod Harris and his trio will perform at the Whitley Hotel (formerly the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead) from 7-9PM.
Friday, August 19th - The saxophonist Greg Abate will perform at the Velvet Note from 7:30 to 11PM with a great band. 4075 Old Milton Pkwy. Alpharetta.
Saturday, August 20th - Saxophonist Mike Walton will perform at Elliott St. Pub with a band featuring the drummer Justin Chesarek.
Sunday, August 21st - The Sunday Night Jazz series at Gallery 992 starts at 10PM every Sunday. Featuring a revolving cast of some of the best players in Atlanta, you need to check this show and this incredible arts space out.
