Monday, January 24th - The TEN ATL jam session in East Atlanta is the place to be on Monday nights. The music goes from 9 until midnight and features a host of great jazz musicians in Atlanta. 495 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta
Tuesday, January 25th - Joe Gransden’s Quintet will perform at Roaring Social in Alpharetta. 35 Milton Ave. Alpharetta.
Wednesday, January 26th - On Wednesday, The Venkman’s Jazz Jam with Joe Gransden is back in the newly renovated space. All musicians are welcome to sit in. 740 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE.
Also on Wednesday, bring your proof of vaccination and face mask, and head to Red Light Cafe for the weekly jam session led by the great trumpeter and educator Gordon Vernick. This is one of the best jazz jam sessions in town. You can hear many of the jazz voices of tomorrow in addition to established veterans. 9 to midnight. 553-1 Amsterdam Ave NE, Atlanta.
Friday, January 28th - The pianist Emmanuel Chops Smith will perform with his trio at The Velvet Note in Alpharetta. 7:30 to 11PM. 4075 Old Milton Pkwy. Alpharetta.
Saturday, January 29th - Pianist Louis Heriveaux and his trio perform at C.Ellet’s weekend jazz brunch every Saturday AND Sunday from 11-4PM. The food and music are top-notch. 2605 Circle 75 Pkwy Suite 400, Atlanta.
